A SecondLife Tour with Gons Carminucci

Hello bloggers! I want to introduce you my new avatar in SecondLife, its name is Gons Carminucci and I wanted a very Italian look with that name...

In these four exercises for TIC, I have been traveling for this new world to discover what types of people and cities, this social network hides. It seems very empty but it is interesting they have been built and the companies have collaborated.

Companies such as GexCall related UNEX, I and a classmate take something on its terrace, with its beautiful view. We were served by a friendly hostess (who was a robot) which taught us everything about this enterprise in the region of Avalon learning. It was difficult to find the place.

We also met the luxurious city of Ronkanan and gave us time to meet a girl, like good Italian ... You can see us on the following Youtube video in action.

Project oriented task on TTS

Imagine you are in a situation that can't speak or you want to create a video that includes a narration or you want learn a new language pronunciation. Globalization and advances in new technologies have made, now we can use a text to speech (TTS), which gives us many answers to questions, I mentioned above.

Internet has been a great source to publicize these programs, many of them free trial. Talkit, Verbio or VOZME are text to speech examples.

We know the famous Professor Stephen Hawkins where his life goes through a TTS that he lets you communicate with people. He is one of the smartest men in the world and now we can all use this kind of tools because internet offers us.

TTS are developed by linguists and engineers to make perfect tools although many of them have errors in abbreviations, acronyms or natural voice.

We can see many videos on the famous site www.youtube.com using this type of program.

Theory Module 1

We are in module 1 that it consists in writing a blog to give you, information about TIC subject evolution.

In my opinion blogs are a powerful tool nowadays. A lot of people in world can read your reflections, your opinions about a topic... I know a blogger situation who wrote great articles in his blog about football and he is working for television, now.

On the other hand, in this subject, we can learn a little more English, visiting several webs.
